So, last night when I was getting my other two ready for bed, I realized that London was...*sigh*...too quiet. You moms know the feeling. After just a little bit too much silence from any one child, you get that sinking feeling and then the big question, "uh oh, what are they doing?" Well, to answer my question, I only had to walk to my bathroom to find out.

Much Too Much...
Fisher's GI doctor just prescribed him a new medicine on Tuesday (appetite stimulant) to help jump-start his appetite. I wish I could share some of my stimulated appetite with him. Anyway, I wanted to share what a daily dose of his meds looks like. It's just too much. I hate having to make him take all of these every single day. I hate having to sit back and wait, and hope, and pray that these medications are working inside his little body. As you may have already guessed, Monday's appointment did not go as well as we would have liked. Fisher lost weight (though, only a little), and has dropped even further down in his percentile ranking. Weight-for-heighth he is in the 16th percentile for his age. It makes me so sad to think that two years ago, Fisher was in the 90th percentile for his age. It has been suggested that Fisher may benefit from receiving care from a specialty eosinophilic disorders clinic. There are only four in the United States, non of which are located the Lone Star state. We are still praying about God's plan for our little guy, and will continue our fervent search for answers and medical options.

Family of Five...
I cannot believe that I'm writing this as I look out of the corner of my eye at our brand new beautful daughter. Avyn Karis Gorsline arrived into this world yesterday at 11:16 am weighing 8lb 15oz and is 20 3/4 in long. It amazes me that God continues to bless us with these perfect little beings, and each time I am overwhelmed with a newfound awe and admiration for His creations. So, the Gorsline's are officially a family of five!

Catching Up
Wow! Busy month. I can't believe March has come and is nearly gone already. For those of you wondering about Fisher, he's doing great! He gets his cast off next week (Lord willing). His doctor is no longer concerned about his bone density. His new bone growth looks great and his break was over 90% healed last week. Good news! Our home remodel is taking longer than we had anticipated...go figure. All the big stuff is done, but we still haven't put everything where we want it to go. One of our shelves was damaged and had to go back to the store. I still haven't gotten back to Lowes to order the window pane replacement for the door, etc., etc., etc. This stuff really does take a while! I can't wait to post on Avyn's room once it's finished. It still has a way to go, but is gorgeous so far. More on remodel stuff later. Anyway, here's what you really want to see...pictures of the kiddos. I snapped a couple during art time, but the bottom is my fave. Such sweet brotherly love.

She Has A Name!
Yeah! We named our daughter this past week. After lots of thought and lots of arguing (with Fisher, he insisted that we name her Katie) our little girl has a name. Avyn (sounds like Raven without the "R"). Anyway, we love it and are thrilled to share it with everyone. All we ask is that you continue to keep Avyn in your prayers, and now you can pray for her by name. Ah, what a wonderful blessing.

A BIG SURPRISE!
Okay, so I know that not a ton of people read this blog, but if you do happen to read it, consider yourselves priveleged to know that WE'RE HAVING A LITTLE GIRL!!! Praise God! She is absolutely, wonderfully healthy, and we couldn't be more blessed. Fisher has been telling us the entire pregnancy that the baby inside Mommy's uterus is a sister. He was right about London being a brother too. Anyway, just thought I would share the wonderful news. Thank you for your prayers. Keep them coming. She has a few more months to bake.

A Big Week!
Baby and I have our level 2 sonogram this week. Please pray specifically that Baby is wonderfully healthy, and decides to let us take a gender peek. The sono is Thursday, and Paul and I are taking Fisher with us. London will stay with a friend for the better part of the afternoon - little guy cannot sit still for more than eleven seconds so the appointment is pretty much out of the question. Anyway, I have a ton of pictures to catch up on, so bye for now.
So cute! I love this picture of London.
My ever-growing Baby Belly. This was taken last week, and I'm pretty sure that Baby had a growth spurt this week. Either that or someone forgot to mention that I'm having triplets.
Reading time with Daddy.
Poor London. He was sick in this picture. Note the unzipped sleeper because he was running a temp. He is much better now...makes for a much happier mom.

After the Week I've Had...
Do you believe in bad luck? As a general rule of living in reality I don't believe in luck. I'm not a superstitious person, never have been, never plan to be. However, after my week of kitchen episodes I'm wondering if perhaps I cracked a mirror or walked under a ladder and just didn't notice. Last Thursday we had gas leak in the kitchen. We noticed it right away and were able to get of the house with the boys and call a gas technician. Everything is fine, just a random "fluke," or so I thought. Then on Monday, I needed some extra counter space and decided to put a pan in the oven - the pan had a plastic lid on it - and of course, I preheated the oven for dinner without remembering to remove it. More airing out of the house and lots of melted plastic clean-up work for my wonderful husband (thanks honey). Tuesday roles around and I'm loading the dishwasher. Harmless, right? WRONG! As I'm closing the dishwasher I hear a loud shattering noise and open the door to find shards of glass everywhere. What went wrong? No idea, just the lid to my favorite cooking pot busted. Finally, today I'm fixing this really wonderful chicken and vegie soup (my fave on cold days like today), and suddenly the vent from the microwave, which sits above the stove, just falls into my soup. Are you kidding me?!? So, what is going on? Is it just my pregnancy clumsiness kicking in, or something a little less obvious? You tell me. Anyway, just thought I'd share my week of mishaps. Enjoy the pictures. Just London today. I'll post more later. Oh, did I mention that I cracked a bowl in the microwave yesterday, and yes it was microwavable. Nice.
Love that smile!

...Allergies...UGH!
I know that many of you are aware of Fisher's many food allergies and I often get asked a lot of questions regarding how severe they are, what his symptoms are like, etc. So today I thought I would give you a little glimpse. Last night we had small group and had a really great time hanging out with our friends. Of course, whenever you have any type of church gathering you have to have snacks, most of which Fisher is unable to eat. This is rarely a problem. We have learned to pack "Fisher Friendly Food" wherever we go, and I certainly did not think we would have a problem considering that last night small group was at our own house. WRONG! Everyone was on their way out the door and I was cleaning up in the kitchen. Fisher started "helping" me by picking up some things from the table. What a sweet little guy! Anyway, I was working on the dishes and noticed out of the corner of my eye that he was picking up angel food cake - loaded with eggs! Now remember, at this point he is only touching the cake, NOT eating it. So I removed him and proceeded to wash his arms, hands, face, etc. He proceeded to break out in hives all over his face, neck and arms, and then he had an asthma attack. So we did the drill: grabbed the Benedryl, inhalers, breathing mask, and epipen - just in case. Fortunately, last night was a mild episode, so he only needed one round of albuterol and a single dose of Benedryl. I know that God has blessed me with such amazing children. I also know that God is challeging me every single day with Fisher's allergies. If I think about it too long, the fear and worry can can absolutely consume me. So, I often find myself reciting this verse:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take." Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT

We're Back....
So, I decided to take a little "blogger-break".....for seven months.....but I think I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. I'm not even sure where to begin, so here's a brief update for everyone, and a funny Christmas story for those of you that are interested:
Paul - Yeah! Paul made a GREAT score on his GRE and was accepted into Lubbock Christian University's Graduate Family Ministry Program. He is so excited to go back to school (no, I'm not kidding).
And here's the fun little Christmas story I promised:
Paul - Yeah! Paul made a GREAT score on his GRE and was accepted into Lubbock Christian University's Graduate Family Ministry Program. He is so excited to go back to school (no, I'm not kidding).
Feydra - Yeah! We are expecting baby #3! I'm almost 15 wks along, and baby looks healthy. Please continue to pray for our growing family, and our precious miracle; specifically that baby is HEALTHY and continues to develop normally, and that the big brothers will love their new baby.
Fisher - What a little smarty pants! He's got his colors, shapes and letters down. Now we're just working on numbers...and keeping all of our clothes on throughout the day.
London - BUSY, BUSY, BUSY! Constantly on the move and more opinionated than ever now that he's starting to form sentences "Mommy, book read, you!"
And here's the fun little Christmas story I promised:
We had a wonderful Christmas with our family in Abilene. The boys got absolutely spoiled with love, attention, and of course presents. Oh, and the one thing on Fisher's Christmas list this year, are you ready? A Diving Suit. I know, that's the face I made too. Anyway, he saw Santa twice this year and each time he sat on his lap and the big questioned came up, "So, what do you want for Christmas this year little boy?" the response left Santa looking a little bewildered and Paul and me a little nervous. Let's not forget the all-too-important piece of this great mystery...how in the world was Santa going to find an afordable diving suit for a three-year-old?!?! Fortunately I was able to do a little detective work - for Santa, of course - on craigslist. Unfortunately, Paul was too busy playing with one of his Christmas presents to take a picture of Fisher frantically taking off his pajamas so that he could try on his new diving suit. So I guess these will have to suffice for now.
**Blogger is inserting all of my horizontal pics vertically, and I can't get them to rotate, so I'll just have to download them another day. Sorry!
